Finding a cure for Childhood cancer is a big deal for me. I know so many children that have suffered from this and are still fighting today.
Childhood cancer statistics are heart-wrenching. 46 Children are diagnosed per day with childhood cancer and 7 children die from childhood cancer each day. Which means 46 families have a major tragedy hit them and rock their world and cause major changes in their families life and routine. Which also means 7 families watch their child lose their battle with cancer, which then again rocks their world and changes their lives in a mighty way.
There are a lot of other cancers I will not mention which are always on the front and center with public and media support, having major events that raise millions of dollars. Childhood cancer on the other hand does not have that same support and as much awareness. I want to make a difference in the awareness of Childhood cancer and a difference in the lives of these children in their families in a way that will be a major impact.
I plan to have a bill passed called The Andrew-man bill because these children are amazing fighters everyday of their lives. These children range from birth all the way to teenagers. The Andrew-man bill is named after a little boy that I have followed him and his family for many years on their journey of his fight and the fight against childhood cancer.
If you have not been aware of what all Childhood cancer is about and what these families go through please visit the Charities pages and read about a few.
Pictured here are a few children who have lost their fight to Childhood cancer and those who are fighting against it today. There will be many ways that you can help be the difference in the matter of finding a cure Childhood cancer.
Remember that September should not only Bring awareness to Childhood cancer. There should be an awareness 365 days a year and to me that is possible.
